My December TBR 2018

Guess who’s back, back again! Amy’s back, tell a friend! This is my attempt to try and jump back into the blogging community as if I haven’t got enough work to balance already! I keep reading other blog posts and I’m really starting to miss writing my own! It’s going to take baby steps as I get back into blogging as I’m currently in my third year of university and also applying for a masters, so I’m a very busy bee! Anyway, let’s start this jump back into blogging with a good old TBR!

I’m trying not to make this TBR too ambitious and to have a nice balance between books for university and books for personal enjoyment!

The Handmaids Tale by Marget Attwood – I’m so lucky to have this book on my university reading list as it means I can finally schedule time into reading it as well as being able to study it in depth for my fashioning fiction module. The TV show is also on my TBW list (along with hundreds of other shos) but I want to read the book first as I’m interested to see how they’ve adapted it!

To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf – Another book on my university reading list and one which I really excited yet worried about reading. From studying English Literature I’ve been able to read so many books by authors I’d never read before, and Virginia Woolf has quickly become one of my favorites.

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas – As a hardcore Sarah J Maas fan, I’m embarrassed to admit that I haven’t read this or Tower of Dawn yet! I’m trying to avoid so many spoilers and am also desperate to find out what happens to some of my favorites characters. If they don’t all get a happy ending, then Sarah you’re in trouble!

Crimes of Grindlewald by J.K. Rowling – I know for a fact that this book is on my Christmas list and I’m gutted that I haven’t seen the film yet! Even if I don’t read this book I know it’s going to look stunning on my shelf!

Mortal Engines by Phillip Reeve – I keep seeing the trailer for this film and it looks incredible! It’s directed by Peter Jackson who adapted The Lord of the Rings trilogy, so I know that the film itself will be beyond amazing! So before I go and see the film I really want to read the book, as the concept is really interesting and by the looks of things it’s not that long either only 300 pages! If you’ve read the book please let me know what you think and if it is worth reading!

Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy – A book that I’m already halfway through and loving! I have to thank the trailer for its upcoming adaptation which encouraged me to finally pick it up and so far I’m absolutely loving all its wonderful goodness! The film premieres on Netflix on the 7th December and I am beyond excited. Fingers crossed its as successful as To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and nothing like Sierra Burgess is a Loser!
