Funny enough it was my sister that informed me about this ‘holiday’ but I doubt that she was telling me for my benefit and I look forward to seeing what tries to manipulate into doing but anyway that got me thinking about a few of my favourite fictional siblings. Although at times my sister and I argue and bicker, I am so lucky to have her and the impact that she’s had on my life (and hopefully the one I’ve had on her) is certainly beneficial and a powerful one; I don’t know what I’d do without her. This is the exact same for fictional siblings, they are always there for each other, they risk everything they have to protect them and without them, there would be a piece missing in their lives. There were so many to pick from so if I’ve missed any that you love then let me know in the comments.
The Weasleys in Harry Potter – I swear every ‘top’ something post I’ve done recently has included a member of the Weasley family but I think that is because they are a perfect family. I was just going to pick Fred and George as they are like to sides of the same coin but I’d be leaving out the others who all play an important role not only in the family but the books.
The Bennett Sisters in Pride and Prejudice – Mainly Jane and Elizabeth because they’re my favourite and I can’t stand Lydia (ugh). These two are extremely close and that probably what I love about them and their sisterly bond. They share secrets and defend one anther and encourage and support the other one’s happiness.
The Stark Children in Game Of Thrones – They are my favourite family (or what’s left of them) in the Game of Thrones series, as once again they are all extremely determined and brave and try to look out for each other. I can’t wait to see the hopefully reunite in season 7!
Damon and Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries – Eleanor was the one that got me hooked on the Vampire Diaries and from the first couple of episodes I fell in love with both brothers. Despite their arguments and differences, both are always there for each other and will risk their life to save the other.
Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan Pevensie in The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe – Admittedly I am basing my opinion of the Pevensie’s off the movie as I haven’t yet read all the books. Each sibling is unique and brings something new to the table when on their adventures in Narnia and will do anything for any other one of their siblings! #family4life
